Sorry might be doubling up here as I posted as a new member in a different area, perhaps in error.
As mentioned I am working on an early Z1 F# 2568. Came to me complete and restored but many incorrect areas.
I am working through those. Hard to be a purist and an obsessive sort.
Other Z series bike is a 75 Rickman CR900. Other Japanese bikes are a 70 CB750 and 71 CB750 K1
Other areas of interest are the Harley VLs of which I have and am in the process of full on restorations of four.
I look forward to the expertise on this forum regarding the Z1. Can't wait to get into the hardware discussion.

Hello from Berlin .
Welcome with us .

Here in the forum you can see what an original 900 Super-4 from 1972 should look like.

On your Z1 (1972) there are many things wrong.
At least what I could see in the picture.
(Picture too small, you have to upload new big pictures!)

Wrong :
the paintwork is very bad.
carburetor from later Z1-A / or Z1-B
clutch cable installed incorrectly
replica master cylinder front brake
painted engine : ribbed cylinder bare , yes or no ?

See Rob his Z1-report.
See all the data i have uploaded ( Parts catalogue, technical informationĀ“s)

See my Z1-report :
